Martiros Saryan House Museum

The Martiros Saryan House Museum is a distinctive cultural institution at 3 Saryan Street in central Yerevan. It holds a rich collection of paintings, documents and personal belongings associated with the life and work of the celebrated Armenian Soviet artist Martiros Saryan, who lived from 1880 to 1972.

The core of the art collection consists of 50 works donated by the artist himself. The museum was established during Saryan’s lifetime by a special decree of the government of the Armenian SSR and opened on 26 November 1967. A visit offers an opportunity to enter the artist’s creative world, view his works and learn more about his life and contribution to Armenian art.
