Mount Jimara. Jimara (also known as Jimarai-khokh or Gimarai-khokh) is a magnificent mountain located on the Khokh Range in the central part of the Greater Caucasus. Its height reaches 4780 meters, making it the second highest peak on the Khokh Range. The mountain is located just 9 kilometers west of Mount Kazbek. The state border between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Georgia runs along the very summit of Jimara, giving it special strategic and cultural significance.
