Sno Fortress

Sno is a small village located in the Kazbegi municipality in Georgia. It is the center of a community that includes villages such as Artkhmo, Achkhoti, Akhaltsikhe, Karkucha, Koseli, and Juta. The village is situated in the picturesque valley of the Snistskali River at an altitude of 1760 meters above sea level and is only 8 kilometers from the town of Stepantsminda.

In the 18th century, Sno was the center of one of the four samuravos of the gorge. Above the village rises a mountain, on top of which are a church and a castle. The church was built in 1987 on the site of an old church, making it one of the historically significant places in the area.
