Museum of the Future

Dubai’s Museum of the Future is not merely a building, but an entire journey forward in time. The torus rising from a green hill, with a large void at its centre, symbolises humanity and the uncertainty of what lies ahead, while Arabic calligraphy across the façade speaks of progress and knowledge. There are no internal support columns; the structure is held by a metal lattice. Exhibitions transport visitors to space, tropical forests and technology laboratories, while children have their own interactive Future Heroes zone, where they can play and discover the future for themselves.

At the museum’s opening, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum called the 77-metre futuristic stainless-steel torus “the most beautiful building in the world.” It gleams in the sunlight as a symbol of Dubai’s progress and ambition.
