Dubai Miracle Garden

Dubai Miracle Garden is a celebration of flowers spread across more than 72,000 m². Opened on 14 February 2013, it contains over 50 million flowers and 250 million plants, rearranged each winter into new patterns, enormous sculptures and colourful installations. Its highlights include a full-size Airbus A380 covered entirely in flowers, heart-shaped walkways, a floral castle, Smurfs Village, giant clocks and the Lost Paradise cascade descending six metres below ground. The flowers are sustained by a drip-irrigation system using recycled water. The garden is open from October to April, when Dubai’s mild winter climate allows the plants to bloom at their best.

Miracle Garden is a true oasis in the desert: keeping its flowers alive requires 757,000 litres of treated municipal wastewater every day. The garden is also a record-breaker. In 2013 it became the world’s largest vertical garden; in 2016 its Airbus A380 was recognised as the largest floral installation; and in 2018 a Mickey Mouse figure made from 100,000 plants was named the world’s tallest topiary sculpture.
