Old Ganja Settlement

Old Ganja is an archaeological complex that represents the settlement of medieval Ganja. This is where the city was located until the 17th century. Currently, the remains of Old Ganja are located 6-7 kilometers northeast of modern Ganja in Azerbaijan. Archaeological research shows that Ganja was situated on both banks of the Ganja River. Each part of the city was surrounded by walls and towers, which indicates its defensive significance.
