Gulistan Fortress

The Gulistan Fortress is a historical structure located in the Goranboy District of the Republic of Azerbaijan, just two kilometers west of the village of Gulistan. It is situated on the right bank of the Indzhachay River, on a hill opposite Mount Murovdag. Inside the fortress, there is an underground passage leading to a water source.

This fortress was built in the 12th century and served as the residence for the Beglaryan family, who were rulers of an Armenian melikdom of the same name. During those times, important political and cultural events took place here, reflecting the rich history of this region. Today, the Gulistan Fortress is a popular tourist destination, attracting history and architecture enthusiasts from all over the world.
