Sahrayicedid Cemetery

This is an ancient cemetery located outside the city, surrounded by greenery, well-maintained, and cozy. Many clergy and people with military backgrounds rest here, and burials are still conducted. However, the most significant place in the cemetery is the grave of Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır, known as the author of the tafsir of the Hak Dini Quran. Also here is the grave of veterinarian Miralay Muallim Mehmet Ali Bey, the teacher of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, which gives the cemetery special significance and sanctity.
