Moda Park

Moda Park is a long green ribbon by the water in Asian Kadıköy, where the city gradually dissolves into the sound of the sea. It stretches along the coast of the Sea of Marmara and resembles a promenade for life more than a classic park. Lawns, alleys, and sports grounds alternate here: some people run on the smooth paths, some play tennis or work out on outdoor equipment, children make noise in play areas, and someone is always sitting in a cafe with a cup of coffee. Benches facing the horizon stand along the water, and among the large coastal stones, it's easy to find a quiet spot to watch the passing ships and the evening sky. Nearby is the Moda pier with an unusual library and cafe, and the park itself is hidden slightly below street level – a staircase from Mühendishane leads to it. This is not a place for rushing; people come here to walk slowly, breathe in the sea air, and simply watch the day end over the water.
