Kaferega Mosque. Osmanaga Mosque, also known as Osman Aga Mosque, was built in 1612 by Osman Aga, Babussaade Aga of Sultan Ahmed, after the destruction of the Kadi Mehmet Efendi Mosque. In 1811, it was renamed the 2nd Mosque after destruction. After the Kadıköy fire in 1878, the mosque was again repaired by Sultan Mahmud, but eventually burned down. The current mosque was built in the same year. A plane tree was planted in the mosque's garden in 1880 by the mosque's imam Mehmet Asim Efendi.
