Saint Thaddeus Church. The Church of the Holy Apostle Thaddeus, also known as Ddmashen Church, was built in the 7th century in the village of Ddmashen in Armenia’s Gegharkunik Province. Constructed during the period of the Chalcedonian catholicoi, it was the first church in the area. Its architecture follows a cross-domed plan. After the earthquake of 1907, the church was restored in a style that differs from its original appearance.
