Makravank Monastery. Makravank is an ancient Armenian church complex in the Makravan district of Hrazdan, the capital of Armenia’s Kotayk Province. The ensemble includes a partly ruined 11th-century chapel and a 13th-century church dedicated to the Holy Mother of God. The church has a circular vestibule and a conical dome, giving it a distinctive architectural profile. The lower walls of a gavit and a medieval cemetery also survive within the complex.
