Statue of Mikael Nalbandian

The Monument to Mikael Nalbandian was erected in 1965 on Yerevan’s Circular Boulevard, near the street named after the writer. It was designed by sculptor Nikolai Nikoghosyan and architect D. P. Torosyan. The monument honors the prominent Armenian writer and poet whose work had a major influence on Armenian literature. Its inclusion on the list of historical and cultural landmarks of the Kentron district reflects its importance to Armenian cultural memory.
