Tsromi Cathedral

Tsromi Cathedral is an ancient temple that was built in 626-635 by order of the Kartli eristavi Stepanoz II. It is one of the earliest churches of the Georgian Orthodox Church and is located in the Khashuri municipality of Shida-Kartli region. Situated on the right bank of the Mtkvari (Kura) River, three kilometers from the railway station of the village of Gomi, the temple is the heart of the village of Tsromi. With its architecture and historical significance, Tsromi Cathedral attracts many tourists and pilgrims who wish to learn more about the ancient traditions and culture of Georgia.
