Argun Gorge

Argun Gorge, also known as Organ Chiozh, is one of the longest gorges in the Caucasus. In this gorge, you can find ancient drawings, petroglyphs, and various signs on stones, such as human figures, spirals, handprints, swastikas, solar signs, and images of animals. Here you can see not only architectural monuments of the early and late Middle Ages, but also structures dating back to pre-Christian times, such as the cyclopean architectural structures of the ancient Chechens, as well as stone and cave dwellings of troglodytes. In total, several hundred such monuments have been preserved in the gorge, which are an important historical heritage of this region.
