Shatili Historical Settlement

Shatili is a high-mountain village located in the historical region of Khevsureti in Georgia. It is currently part of the Dusheti Municipality of the Mtskheta-Mtianeti region. In early 2008, 130 voters were registered at the Shatili polling station, but according to the 2014 Georgian census, only 42 people lived in the village. After 2014, many residents returned to the village, establishing a new neighborhood next to the historical quarter.

Shatili is known for its fortified complex, consisting of residential buildings and 60 defensive towers. This makes it a candidate for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
