Church of Ayia Yorgi

The Church of Ayia Yorgi, also known as the Church of Agios Yiorios, is an ancient Greek Orthodox church located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Turkey. This building was constructed by Nikolaos Krestos in 1836 on the site of a former church from the Eastern Roman Empire era. Built by Gregórios, the current church building is today a registered cultural heritage and attracts many tourists and pilgrims due to its historical and religious significance.
