Church of the Holy Spirit

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Batumi, Georgia, is a Catholic church that is part of the Apostolic Administration of the Caucasus. Initially, a Catholic church was built in Batumi in 1903, but it was confiscated during the Soviet era. After Georgia gained independence, the church was transferred to the Georgian Catholic Church. Currently, the Church of the Holy Spirit is the cathedral of the Catholic diocese. The church itself was built in the late 1990s according to the project of Georgian architects Oleg Pataridze and Giorgi Bagoshvili and was consecrated in 2000 by the apostolic administrator Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto.
