Neptune Fountain

The Neptune Fountain in Batumi is a magnificent monument created in the Mannerist style and installed in front of the Batumi Drama Theater on the square. The figure of Neptune, covered in gold, depicts the god of the seas and his ability to control the waters with his majestic gesture. This fountain was installed in 2010 as part of a city beautification project, and specialists from China were involved in its installation. The original 16th-century Neptune Fountain is located in Bologna, Italy, in Piazza Nettuno. In 2011, the statue of Neptune and the heraldic shields in the center of the fountain were covered in gold, adding even more splendor to this monument of history and art.
