Georgian State Philharmonic

The Tbilisi State Philharmonic is a unique concert organization located in the heart of Tbilisi, at 36/1 Merab Kostava Street. It is one of the city's main attractions, drawing both locals and tourists.

The history of the Philharmonic in Georgia dates back to 1905, when the Philharmonic Society was established in Tiflis. Since then, it has become an integral part of the country's cultural life.

The Philharmonic's concert hall was built in 1971 according to the design of the renowned architect I. Chkhenkeli. In the early 21st century, the hall underwent a major renovation, bringing it up to the most modern standards. The Georgian government has confirmed the Philharmonic's state status, emphasizing its importance for the country's cultural development.
