Havuts Tar Monastery

Havuts Tar Vank, also known as the Monastery of All Saviours, is a walled monastic complex built between the 11th and 13th centuries. It stands on a promontory above the picturesque Azat River valley opposite the villages of Goght and Garni in Armenia’s Kotayk Province.

The monastery can be reached through the Khosrov State Reserve and the Garni Gorge. The main route begins on the eastern side of the reserve, to the left of the entrance, and climbs toward the complex. An alternative trail starts at the end of the main road along the Azat River beyond the fish-farm ponds.
