Khachatur Abovyan House Museum

The Khachatur Abovyan House Museum was established in the house where the celebrated Armenian writer lived and worked. By a decision of the Council of People’s Commissars of the Armenian SSR, the building was reconstructed and converted into a museum in 1938, opening to the public in November 1939. Visitors can see Abovyan’s personal belongings and manuscripts and learn about his life and work. Located in Kanaker, the museum combines Armenian history and culture and is an important part of the country’s heritage.
