Khankendi Stadium

The Khankendi City Stadium is a multifunctional sports and concert complex located in the city of Khankendi, which is in Azerbaijan. The stadium has a capacity of 15,000 spectators and was built in 1956 in the city of Stepanakert, now called Khankendi, in the Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast of the Azerbaijan Soviet Socialist Republic. Initially, the stadium was named after Joseph Stalin, but after the abolition of the personality cult, it was renamed the Stepan Shaumyan Central Stadium.
