Mother Armenia Monumental Statue

The monumental Mother Armenia statue in Gyumri is a symbolic female figure representing Armenia. It echoes the well-known monument in Yerevan and was created in 1975. Sculptors Ara Sargsyan, Gaspar Gasparyan, and Yerem Vardanyan worked on the project, with Rafik Yeghoyan as architect. Standing on a hill west of Gyumri, it is an important element of Armenia’s cultural heritage.
