Museum of Cinema History

This magnificent mansion, built in 1870 during the reign of Abdulaziz, was conceived by Armenian businessman Agop Kochoyan as his winter residence. However, in the 1930s, ownership of the building passed to brothers Aziz and Ahmet Borovali, who transformed parts of it into an entertainment center. Following meticulous restoration between 2019 and 2021, the historic "Atlas" cinema within the building was transformed into the unique Istanbul Museum of Cinema, which continues to delight visitors with its exhibitions and engaging events.
