Hoshiyar Kadın Fountain

The Hoshiyar Kadın Fountain, also known as the Huşyar Kadın Fountain, is a historical monument in the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul. This fountain was built by Hoshiyar Kadın, the wife of Ottoman Sultan Mahmud II, in 1840 or 1841. It was created in memory of the Sultan's late daughter, Mihrimah Sultan. Over time, due to changes in the surrounding infrastructure, the water level in the fountain dropped below the road level. Currently, the part of the fountain belonging to the General Directorate of Foundations and lacking water supply is in ruins.
