Dogançay Museum

The Dogançay Museum (Doğançay Müzesi) is Turkey's first contemporary art museum dedicated to the work of artist Burhan Dogançay. It was opened to visitors in 2004 and is housed in a historic five-story building that previously belonged to a Greek family. Located in the heart of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district, the museum has become one of the city's important cultural landmarks.

Purchased by Burhan Dogançay in 1999, the museum building was initially in a state of disrepair, but thanks to the artist's efforts, it was restored and transformed into a modern space for exhibitions and cultural events. The museum features works by Burhan Dogançay himself, as well as by other contemporary artists, reflecting the diversity of art in Turkey.
