Safara Monastery

Safara Monastery, also known as Sapara, is an ancient Georgian Orthodox male monastery located in the picturesque area of the Akhaltsikhe municipality in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia. It is part of the Akhaltsikhe and Tao-Klarjeti Eparchy of the Georgian Orthodox Church. The monastery complex is included in the list of immovable cultural monuments of national significance of Georgia, which emphasizes its historical and cultural importance for the country.
