Church of the Holy Cross

Surb Khach Church (Church of the Holy Cross) is located in the Armenian village of Mets Pamach, in the Akhaltsikhe district of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region of Georgia, just 7.5 km southwest of the city of Akhaltsikhe. It was built in the 19th century and was originally wooden, but by 1885 it was rebuilt of stone. According to historical data, the church was founded in 1837 and became an important center of religious life for local residents. Currently, Surb Khach Church continues to serve its parishioners and attracts tourists with its architecture and historical significance.
