Saint George Church

Saint George Church (Arm. Սուրբ Գևորգ եկեղեցի) is a temple located in the city of Sighnaghi, Georgia, and belongs to the Bodbi Diocese of the Georgian Orthodox Church. It was built in a special style, combining an internal single-nave structure with the external features of a three-nave basilica. The dimensions of the temple are 15.45 x 9.70 meters. In 1896, a school was opened next to the church, where 60 students of both sexes were educated. Frescoes with inscriptions in Armenian have been preserved inside the temple. The construction of the church was carried out using brick and rough stones. At the top of the gable tiled roof, there is a small bell tower. The entrance to the church is through three doors.
