Chailuri Fortress

Chailuri Fortress is a historical structure located in the villages of Patara Chailuri and Didi Chailuri in southern Georgia, on the Tbilisi-Gurjaani highway. This fortress was built in the 17th-18th centuries and was originally built of stone. Between 1980 and 1984, restoration work was carried out on the fortress under the leadership of architects K. Giorgobiani and Kh. Dvali, as a result of which the fortress was completely restored. The fortress is located on a hilltop, which makes it even more impressive and breathtaking.
