Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque

Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque, also known as Sancaktar Hayrettin Camii or Sancaktar Hayrettin Mosque, was built on the site of a former Orthodox monastery in the Fatih district of Istanbul. This mosque, located in the building of the Byzantine Gastria Monastery, holds not only architectural value but also significant historical importance. The mosque was constructed by numerous craftsmen and is situated on Teberdar Sokak street, just 50 meters northeast of the Kocamustafapaşa suburban train station.
