St. George's Church

St. George's Church is an active Orthodox church belonging to the Kakheti and Kurmukhi Diocese of the Georgian Orthodox Church. It was built in 1855 and is located in the city of Gakh, in a suburb called Gakh-Ingiloy. The area of the church territory is 120 square meters. According to the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan on historical and cultural monuments, the church is recognized as a monument of local architectural significance. It is protected by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan as a historical monument, which emphasizes its importance to the cultural heritage of the region.
