Tiflis Alexander Nevsky Military Cathedral

The Alexander Nevsky Military Cathedral, also known as the Caucasian Military Cathedral, was built in Tbilisi, Georgia, in memory of the conquest of the Caucasus. This Orthodox church was located in the city center, on Gunibskaya Square, on the site of the current lower building of the Government House. The main altar of the cathedral was consecrated in the name of the holy blessed Grand Duke Alexander Nevsky, the right chapel was in the name of Archangel Michael, and the left was in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. This temple was an important symbol of history and religion in Tbilisi, attracting many pilgrims and believers.
