Tsilkani Cathedral

The Tsilkani Cathedral of the Mother of God is an ancient Georgian Orthodox church located in the village of Tsilkani, which belongs to the Mtskheta Municipality in the eastern part of the Georgian region of Mtskheta-Mtianeti. Originally built in the 4th century, the church was rebuilt several times during the Middle Ages. Today, the preserved building is a cross-domed temple surrounded by a wall with corner towers. This cathedral is included in the list of national cultural monuments of Georgia, which emphasizes its historical and cultural significance for the country.
