Telovani Church

The Telovani Church of the Holy Cross, also known as the Church of the Picturesque Cross, was built in the 8th-9th centuries and is located in the Mtskheta municipality in eastern Georgia. This domed church of the trikonch type has pastophories on both sides of the altar apse. Inside the church, one can see heavily damaged frescoes, including one of the earliest depictions of the Savior Not Made by Hands in Georgian art.

In 2007, the Telovani Church of the Holy Cross was included in the list of immovable cultural monuments of national significance of Georgia. This testifies to the historical and cultural importance of this remarkable structure for the Georgian people.
