Shio-Mgvime Monastery

Shio-Mgvime Monastery, also known as Shiomghvime, is an ancient monastic complex located in Georgia near the city of Mtskheta. It is situated in a picturesque limestone gorge on the banks of the Mtkvari (Kura) River and is only 30 kilometers from Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. During the Soviet era, the monastery was closed, but it is now open again and attracts many pilgrims and tourists wishing to see its unique architecture and historical significance.
