Alfred Heilbronn Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden in Istanbul, also known as Alfred Heilbronn University of Istanbul Botanic Bahçesi, was founded in 1931 by the German-Turkish botanist Alfred Heilbronn. This garden is located in a major Turkish city and is a precious resource for the study of the plant world. However, at present, its rich collections are under threat of extinction due to the actions of the Mufti of Istanbul. Measures must be taken to preserve this unique botanical garden and its valuable plant collections.
