Ancient City of Syedra

Syedra (Greek: Σύεδρα) is an ancient port city located on the border of two historical regions – Pamphylia and Cilicia, on the southern coast of Asia Minor. The city is situated 20 km southeast of Alanya and 24 km northwest of another ancient city, Selinus (modern name - Gazipaşa), in modern-day Turkey. The first mention of Syedra in written sources dates back to the mid-first century BC. The city was known for its trade connections and cultural heritage, attracting many travelers and researchers.
