Arch of Friendship on the Georgian Military Road

The Arch of Friendship on the Georgian Military Road is a unique architectural monument built in the 20th century. It is located between the Gudauri ski resort and the Cross Pass on the Georgian Military Road. This stone-concrete semicircular structure offers a stunning view of the "Devil's Valley" in the Caucasus Mountains. The panoramic viewing platform near the arch allows visitors to enjoy the surrounding landscape from an altitude of 2,384 meters. Inside the arch, one can admire a magnificent mosaic fresco created by artists Zurab Kapanadze, Zurab Lezhava, and Nodar Malazonia. This fresco depicts scenes from the history of Georgia and Russia, making the monument even more unique and interesting for visitors.
