Ashug Jivani House-Museum

The Ashug Jivani House-Museum (Arm. Աշուղ Ջիվանու տուն-թանգարան) is a unique place in Georgia, located in the picturesque Armenian settlement of Kartsakhi. Here you can see two parts of the museum: the memorial part, located in the house where Jivani was born and spent his childhood, and an exhibition hall displaying archival photographs and documents telling about his life and work.

In the center of the exhibition hall stands a bust of Jivani, with his violin and kamancha depicted next to it. On the wall behind the bust, you can see images of apricots, symbolizing Jivani's song "I am an apricot tree," as well as a recording of his song "Ovik." Photographs of Armenian and foreign celebrities associated with Jivani's life and work are also presented here. The exhibition concludes with photographs of the ashug's tombstone and images of the ashug school, streets named in his honor, and monuments erected in his memory. Visiting this museum, you can immerse yourself in the world of music and poetry of Ashug Jivani.
