Javakheti National Park

Javakheti National Park is located in the picturesque Ninotsminda Municipality in southern Georgia, on the border with Armenia and Turkey. This park is part of a transboundary protected area that connects with Arpi Lake National Park in neighboring Armenia. Together, they form a unique ecosystem complex of great importance for the conservation of the region's biodiversity.

Javakheti National Park includes not only the park itself but also other protected areas such as the Kartsakhi Managed Reserve, the Tsalka Managed Reserve, the Khanchali Managed Reserve, the Bugdasheni Managed Reserve, and the Madatapa Managed Reserve. All these areas collectively contribute to the preservation of the region's unique flora and fauna.

The park is home to numerous bird species, including the common eider, brent goose, common goldeneye, corncrake, various species of pelicans, sandpipers, terns, storks, stone curlews, and hawks. This place is a true paradise for birdwatchers and wildlife enthusiasts.
