Ataturk Arboretum

The Atatürk Arboretum was founded in 1992 in the suburban area of Istanbul, in the Sarıyer district. This amazing botanical garden covers an area of 296 hectares (730 acres) and is a member of the International Council of Botanical Gardens for Plant Conservation (BGCI). The arboretum also has the international identification code ATATA, which emphasizes its significance in the world of science and botany. Visitors can enjoy the diversity of plants and trees that grow here, and learn more about the richness of Turkey's flora.
