Bochorma Fortress

Bochorma Fortress, also known as Bochormis Tsikhe, is a unique medieval architectural complex located on a high mountain by the Iori River in eastern Georgia. It is situated in the Tianeti municipality, in the Kakheti region. The complex consists of a castle, a domed dodecagonal church built in the 10th century, as well as other churches and structures. Currently, all buildings within the complex are in a semi-ruined state or severely damaged. They have been included in the list of immovable cultural monuments of national significance of Georgia. Visiting this historical site allows one to immerse themselves in the ancient history of Georgia and witness the unique architecture of the Middle Ages.
