Chikhorishi Church

Chikhorishi is a unique monument of Georgian architecture, a 10th-century church located near the town of Aspindza. It was built from local rough stone and consecrated for worship. The church has entrances from the west and south, and their doors and windows are adorned with exquisite carvings. The church hall is supported by a base arch reinforced with pilasters. In 2006, on November 7, by decree of the President of Georgia, this historical structure was granted the status of a immovable monument of national cultural significance, emphasizing its historical and cultural value.
