Didi Abuli Mountain

Didi-Abuli is a high mountain in Georgia, located on the Samsari Range, reaching an altitude of 3301 meters. Together with Patara-Abuli mountain, it is often referred to as Abuli. The mountain is mainly composed of Neogene hyalodacites and is an extinct volcano. The volcanic cone has lost its normal shape due to its height and age. On the slopes of the mountain, there are ancient glacial cirques with moraine ridges and small lakes. Most of the mountain is covered with alpine meadows, and periglacial forms are also widely developed.
