Yerits Mankants Monastery

The Erek Mankunk Monastery, also known as Yerits Mankants Monastery, was built in the 17th century and is located in the Agdere region of Azerbaijan. According to the administrative division of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic, which controlled the monastery until 2023, it was located in the Martakert region. Situated just 7 kilometers from Jraberd, this monastery was built around 1691 and is a beautiful example of Armenian architecture from the late medieval period in Artsakh. In the 17th century, Armenian architecture experienced a flourishing period after a decline in previous centuries.
