Istanbul Ashkenazi Synagogue

The Istanbul Ashkenazi Synagogue, also known as Aşkenazi Sinagogu, is an Orthodox synagogue located in the Beyoğlu district of the historic city of Istanbul. It was founded by Jews from Austria-Hungary in 1900 and is the only functioning Ashkenazi synagogue in the city. It is important to note that this is also the only one of the three Ashkenazi synagogues that remain in Istanbul, as Ashkenazi Jews constitute only 4% of the total Jewish population of Turkey. The synagogue can be visited on weekday mornings, as well as for Saturday morning services.
