Church of Saints Peter and Paul

The Church of Saints Peter and Paul, also known as Sen Pierre ve Sen Paul Kilisesi in Turkish, Church of San Pietro e Paolo in Galata in Italian, and Église Saint Pierre Saint Paul in French, is a Catholic church in Istanbul of significant historical importance. The church houses the icon of Our Lady of the Hodegetria, which was originally located in the Dominican church in Kaffa, Crimea. The current building was reconstructed in the 19th century (1841-1843) by the Fossati brothers. Adjacent to the church was the former commercial building of Saint-Pierre-Han, which, as of 2022, will be transformed into a cultural center.
