Salt Galata Museum

SALT is a Turkish organization dedicated to contemporary art. It was founded by Vasif Kortun and Garanti Bank in 2011. SALT has exhibition spaces and workshops in both Istanbul and Ankara, making it one of the most important centers for contemporary art in Turkey. The organization combines the previous activities of the Garanti Gallery, the Ottoman Bank archive and research center, and the Platform Garanti Bank Contemporary Art Center. Furthermore, SALT is one of six members of the International Confederation of European Art Institutions, which also includes institutions such as the Moderna Galerija in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
